Peruvian Paso Enchantment

Too often these important horses are overlooked. She has been blessed with two geldings that have made an amazing difference in many peoples lives.

Dulce Gitano

Sire:
Dam:

Dulce Gitano was Molly's first horse. Dulce came into the Rodke family just 3 months after the birth of their first son, John.

Dulce Gitano, clowning with John

Dulce has, and always will be, a character. He will untie any lead line and open any unchained gate. Molly rode him until she was 6 months pregnant with her second son, Andrew Phillip and when he was just old enough to walk he would run up to Dulce, grasp a front leg and cry until his mother would reach down, pull him up with her and off they would go. Dulce is still a trusted mount at age 27.

El Cid

Anna and the beloved El Cid

El Cid came into our lives 16 years ago. A beautiful, deep red gelding who previously had not been treated with the kindness he deserved. Cid was hot blooded and an exciting ride. It's rare to encounter a horse who captures your spirit and makes you a calmer, more patient person. Cid was that horse. He would carry Molly's husband, Rusty (all 6 foot 6 inches of him) with grace and strength. We lost our beautiful, El Cid, in November, 2007. Here he is with his favorite girl, Anna.
